Social Bowls, The Wrong Bias

2 Bowl Triple Tuesdays are Back !!!

Experience matters !!

2 bowl triples Tuesday returned last Tuesday, along with the B B Q lunch prepared by John and Ian (thanks guys). A good number of bowlers lined up for their burgers before 5 rinks of triples and 1 rink of pairs. There would have been 6 rinks of triples but a late withdrawal meant the Potato Point team of Trevor, Bill and Dene graciously agreed to split up to make the numbers add up. A bit harsh for Trevor to then be awarded the Dunny can but thems the breaks you get on a fast green. Bill was a bit happier, with he and Jason winning one of their games by enough to pick up some of the days cash.

Great to see Jason in the Tuesday Bowling Coordinator’s role recently vacated by Denny Thompson. Just who won the day was an interesting conclusion to the day. Does anyone actually know who won what??

Speaking of wrong bias, there was a greyish coloured bowl spotted making it’s way across the neighbouring rink from which it was lovingly released but luckily for the skip who let it go, who shall remain nameless, no wrong bias was called at the aforementioned conclusion. The green was running rather quickly which resulted in a few near misses and at least one collision of bowls from neighbouring rinks. Jim M was quite pleased he got to bowl it again but not sure that Vanda was !!

Pairs again next Tuesday, names on the sheet on the notice board please. Don’t forget Saturday bowls as well, numbers need building up!

Next months triples is Ham Day https://bodallabowlingclub.bowls.com.au/wp-content/uploads/sites/533/2021/11/Ham-Day-2021.pdf
