2020/2021 Pairs Champions
The 2020/2021 pairs championship was played on Saturday June 26 between Coops and Vander, and Henry and Rooster. It was an extremely tight match, played in great conditions, with the margin staying at 1 point for most of it. Late in the match, Coops and Vander had managed to push their lead out to 4, which Henry and Rooster had cut by 1 at the start of the last end. Despite some good bowls, they only managed to pull back 1 more on the last end and Coops and Vander won the game 16-14. Congratulations to the 2021 pairs champions!
Coops, Vander and Henry are also in the semi-finals of the singles championships which will be played over the next few weeks.
On a side note, great to see club President Ken Fitzpatrick among the spectators, after his recent knee replacement. Hope to see you back on the green in the not too distant future Fitzy.
